This lovely Italian wooden pen or desk tray is handpainted in gold and a deep blue and features a scrolling foliate pattern. It has a few knocks to the paintwork consistent with age, which is likely to be c.1950-70. It would make a fantastic addition to your home office or could, of course, be repurposed to hold other items.
