Antique copper hot water jug - Joseph Sankey and Sons of Bilston
Joseph Sankey and Sons
$89.00
This antique copper hot water jug was produced by Joseph Sankey and Sons of Bilston, England. The firm was established in the late nineteenth century and appears to have ceased production in 1932. This lizard skin style copper jug is in very good order - it has a minor dent on one side that isn’t particularly noticeable because of the complex pattern and at some point the base appears to have been soldered. This isn’t visible when on display and means (that unlike some I’ve had) this jug remains watertight. It is full of antique charm and would look fantastic filled with flowers or in a group of copper or Arts and Crafts era pieces.
Please look closely at the photographs as they are an important part of the description. If you have any questions please get in touch.
