Arabia of Finland rice pattern/riisiposliini duo c.1950s

This mid-century (c.1950s) cup and saucer by Arabia of Finland is so elegant. These rice pattern or riisiposliini pieces were designed by Finnish designer Friedl Kjellberg-Holzer. The rice grain-like windows are so very fine it seems impossible that they would contain liquid, but remarkably they do. This pair is fully marked and in excellent condition. This piece epitomises stylish vintage design that still seems contemporary. Drinking from this outstanding vessel would be the perfect start to any day. It is in excellent, as new, condition.
