Poole Pottery Twintone Espresso/Demitasse Duo - Mid-century

This stylish mid-century Poole Twintone espresso/demitasse cup and saucer in the Streamline shape, was made in Poole, England in Ice Green and Mushroom. Each piece has the distinctive dolphin backstamp. My stylish grandmother's Poole Twintone pieces were a staple of my childhood in the 1970s and nothing evokes the streamlined style of mid-century ceramics more for me that these simple elegant pieces. The cup is 5cm  high and at the rim it is 6.5cm wide. The saucer is 12cm across. This duo is stylish but not perfect - there is a scratch in the surface of the cup and some tiny scratches to the centre of the saucer, which is reflected in the price, but it remains a fabulous vessel for your morning coffee.
