C. H. Brannam Pottery Cobalt Blue Canoe Planter
C.H. Brannam
$169.00
This fabulous cobalt blue planter is in the shape of a canoe and is the work of Brannam's of Barnstaple. The company was very successful for its art pottery and sold work through Liberty's of London. They were well known for the canoe form planters, which were made in a variety of colours and sizes and some were made with sgraffito decoration. This piece likely dates from the 1920s. It has some minor surface scrapes and there is a small chip to the glaze on one end but it is otherwise in fantastic condition. It is a real statement piece, sure to attract comments in your home. While these were intended as small planters, it could also be used as a vase if that is your preference.
