Wedgwood Columbia Display Plate with attached hanger - 1934

This elegant Wedgwood plate in the Columbia pattern features a fabulous design alternating floral vignettes and pairs of griffins with a central medallion. While there is a hanger on the back that obscures the usual details, the previous owner kindly recorded them and attached them on the back with a sticker. The D4 on the back indicates this plate was made in 1934. The design was produced for 73 years from 1924-1997. It is beautiful, elegant and in very good condition. There are a few minor surface scrapes and a very small area of minor discolouration (see photos) but they do not detract from the beauty of this plate that would be lovely hung alone or on a gallery wall (whether all plates or art and plates combined).
