Fabulous Rare Royal Doulton Plate with strawberry edge

The condition of this plate that has been in existence for 100 years is truly outstanding. The deep blue of the centre of the plate is beautifully contrasted by the strawberry design around the edge. The berries are interspersed with leaves and spiralling tendrils. This plate feels full of abundance in the depiction of fruit and the future fruiting of the plant. The gilding to the edge is perfect, there are no cracks, crazing, chips or repairs. The relatively rare Royal Doulton mark was used between 1923 and 1927. The pattern was introduced in 1924 and the impressed mark indicates it was produced in 1925.
