Peter Viesnik, Art Glass Paperweight with Dichroic panels, 1998, N.Z.

This beautiful Peter Viesnik paperweight was made in 1998 and includes dichroic panels that change colour when viewed from different angles. I love the deep blue and green at the heart of this piece. There is a tiny surface scratch but it is otherwise in perfect condition. Peter Viesnik is one of New Zealand’s best known hot glass artists. He built a workshop in Albany just outside Auckland in 1979. Now in his eighties, he has ceased glass blowing. This stunning paperweight would make a fantastic addition to an art glass or paperweight collection.
