Carl Thieme Figurine - Boy Feeding Birds - c. 1900

This antique figurine is in exceptional condition. It was made in Dresden by celebrated maker Carl Thieme. The quality of the painting and modelling shows why these pieces are so sought after. Impressively, this piece still has the paper sticker of the original retailer - Ernst Wahliss in Vienna. Wahliss was both a porcelain manufacturer and owned a Department Store. They moved into the stunning building mentioned on the sticker in 1879. This piece liely dates to around 1900. There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
