A pair of German porcelain figures produced by the Aelteste (Oldest) Volkstedt Porcelain Factory, Thuringia, circa 1900. Both figures are modelled in the Dresden style, each on a circular base with a relief gilt border and painted in rich polychrome enamels. The female musician playing the lute is in perfect condition, but the male figures has at some point in his life lost the end of his flute. It isn't a particularly noticeable flaw. The quality of the modeling and painting is excellent.

Please look closely at the photographs as they are a vital part of the description. If you have any questions at all please don't hesitate to get in touch directly (contact@eldercroftandsons.co.nz).
