Art Deco H & K Tunstall "Tahitian Girl" Dish

One of my first vintage loves was art deco ceramics and I can’t walk past a lovely piece like this small dish made by H & K (Hollinshead and Kirkham) Tunstall. Online it seems to be given a range of names including Hawaii and Laguna and yet the figure is most often described as a Tahitian girl, which is probably a sad reflection on the way women in the Pacific were stereotyped as exotic beauties rather than individuals at the time - but the colours and the treatment of the trees is fabulous. 

There is some minor wear to the pattern and a small firing flaw to the underside of the dish but it is in good condition overall.
