Handmade Vintage Soviet Matryoshka Chess Set - 1970s/80s

This handmade vintage Soviet matryoshka chess set will definitely be a talking point in your home. It was made in the 1970s or early 1980s and is shown sitting on a lovely vintage 1960s American Drueke chess board, which is not included but is listed separately. Chess analogies were often used to discuss the strategy employed during the Cold War conflict between the USA and USSR so the pairing feels particularly apt. This hand-painted set is in excellent vintage condition.
