Vintage Italian letter opener with fleur de lis finial

This lovely vintage letter opener has a faintly brassy finish, it may have been silver plated originally but over time it has worn away. The handle has a fleur de lis type finial and below it a face. The blade features a pierced decorative end and it is marked Italy. This was likely purchased in the mid-twentieth century as a souvenir from an Italian vacation. It is charming and functional and will add plenty of vintage character to your desk.
