Late Victorian/Edwardian Double-Sided 9ct Gold Locket with Seed Pearls and Rubies

I’ve had this beautiful double-sided locket for years - it’s one of those pieces I’ve treasured but I’m finally ready for it to find its forever home. It is 9 carat gold and features two seed pearls and two rubies. It dates to around 1900 and originally came with the photographs of the two elegant Edwardian ladies. It would be equally lovely holding a dried flower or as a shaker locket. If that appeals, I have some small marquise cut rubies that would be perfect for it - so please get in touch if you’d like to see them in it. It’s a great size at 36mm wide and 44mm long including the bail. Looking at the way it is marked, it was most likely made here in New Zealand or possibly Australia. It’s beautifully made and in excellent condition. The box sadly is for display only.
