Early to mid-nineteenth century lithograph in antique gilt frame with verre églomisé surround

I love the sprig of lily of the valley tucked into the bodice of the woman depicted in this wonderful atmospheric piece. This early to mid 19th century Romantic hand-drawn stone lithograph is likely American as it is clearly based on an oil painting ‘Woman in an Italian Landscape’ that has been attributed to Washington Allston (1779-1843). The hand-coloured print is showing signs of its age with foxing, staining and even tiny holes in the paper. It is in a fabulous antique gilded frame complete with black glass verre églomisé surround. The external dimensions are 540mm high x 440 mm wide.
