Coalport Cairo Crimson (or Maroon) and Gold Display Plate

This stunning Coalport Cairo Crimson (or Maroon) and Gold display plate is a highly collectible piece of English bone china. Featuring ornate, exotic birds of paradise, insects and foliage, the intricate gilding on this plate is dramatic against a deep red background. This beautiful plate will add vintage elegance to a display or collection. The gilding is in excellent condition, there are a few minor small scratches to the maroon surface but you have to look hard to find them. They have been photographed using extreme magnification. This mid-century plate dates from between 1945 and the 1950s.
